Veggie day at Minimal5

Walk the walk, talk the talk.

Shine the divine light upon the Minimal5 family, and let us all rejoice in a veggie feast on this very special veggie Tuesday.

We are all-in here with reducing our carbon footprint, minimizing our meat intake for the good of all future generations. (Or we just found some bags of unused red kidney beans in the cupboard that we either concluded had to be decluttered or eaten.)

This time the minimalistic, zero-waste use all approach won, and after a quick google the choice fell on the good old chili sin carne 🌶.

Luckily I also found a Carls Special 🍺 on the balcony, to bring this special veggie day to unprecedented heights.

So all in all a very good day in relation to food budget cost savings and carbon reduction. This is all going accordingly to plan.

As a special consumer service please find below the recipe we used (it’s in danish though), but you will find similar by using google. By the way we also baked some naan bread to go along, just in case the kids turned the white out of their eyes when the dish was served.

Rule in our house hold is, that they have to taste, and if NOT liked, they can take a bowl of oatmeal/porridge.(very low average cost, and very healthy for the environment) 👍

  1. I love the household rule for the kids. Might have to borrow that one (…and stock up on extra porridge 😉
