Yihaa…a new renter…passive income rules!

How excellent is that, just when you thought the Airbnb renting season for our vacation home had faded away, then I managed to get a mid October request, from a young German couple 🇩🇪 who wants to visit the northern part of Denmark 🇩🇰.

Total for the 7 nights is around 500 USD 💵💵💵

I absolutely love how Airbnb is able to bring in additional income from our vacation home, and actually every year cover our fixed costs for having the estate 🏡.

This brings this years total to roughly 2.850 USD.

This is all good and fine, but actually we would be able to pocket even more if we also rented out our Copenhagen apartment, which we have refrained from previously. Mainly because my wife doesn’t like to have strangers in our home? Go figure? I am still working on trying to change that, as it would be a considerable extra amount of money this would enable us to bring in.

Also, I am considering renting out our car on the GoMore service available here in Copenhagen. I am not sure how much extra work there is related to this though, so so far I haven’t done it.

Is it worth the hassle?

  1. Great post as normal. Not sure why I draw the distinction between a holiday home and main residence but I have to say that I agree with your wife about not renting our your place in Copenhagen
